Nicknamed "The Say Hey Kid", Mays racked up 660 Home runs and a .302 career batting average, which are noted on the glove webbing.

Willie Mays is shown wearing a New York Giants hat, the underdog team which won the 1954 World Series, which is also noted on the glove webbing. This is the series when Mays made 'the Catch', his famous over-the-head grab in centerfield.
