This Willie Mays Painted Glove was exhibited at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City.

On the bottom banner is Willie Mays' uniform number 24 and lists his 1951 NL Rookie of the Year award, MVP in 1954 and 1965, 24-time All-Star, 12 Gold Glove Awards and Baseball Hall of Fame induction in 1979.

Nicknamed "The Say Hey Kid", Mays racked up 660 Home runs and a .302 career batting average, which are noted on the glove webbing.  

Willie Mays is shown wearing a New York Giants hat, the underdog team which won the 1954 World Series, which is also noted on the glove webbing. This is the series when Mays made 'the Catch', his famous over-the-head grab in centerfield.
