Hall of Famer Gil Hodges Depicted on Leather Baseball Mitt

Hodges is celebrated with this hand-painted depiction on a “Gil Hodges” signature model first base mitt.

A 8-time All-Star, 3-time World Series Champion (with the Dodgers and as Manager of the New York Mets in 1969),

Hodges is depicted in his #14 Brooklyn Dodgers uniform with famous Ebbets Field 1950s outfield billboards in the background.

The Denkert first base mitt has a good condition silver stamp of Gil Hodges signature below his portrait, a fitting canvas for arguably the best first baseman of the 1950s.

Hodges made it to the big leagues in 1947, joining the Dodgers the same year as Jackie Robinson. According to Rachel Robinson, “He was quiet, friendly, warm – you could count on him. And you didn’t have to ask for help from Gil ... he anticipated what you needed and was there for you.”
